For LifeTree author Dr. Vanessa Lapointe, R. Psych, all the hard work is paying off. Her book, Discipline Without Damage (in stores January 15th, 2016) has already started receiving praise from notable child experts, including Dr. Shefali Tsabary and Dr. Tina Payne Bryson.
A world-renowned clinical psychologist, Dr. Tsabary has received praise from the likes of Oprah, the Dalai Lama and Eckhart Tolle for her NYT best-selling The Conscious Parent. Dr. Tsabary, who has studied child discipline and its harms extensively, called Discipline Without Damage “inspiring” and “powerful” in a written endorsement of the book. “I am beyond thrilled that she has offered to support my work,” says Dr. Vanessa of Dr. Tsabary.
But if Dr. Vanessa is thrilled at her debut book’s reception, others are equally thrilled to read it. Psychotherapist Dr. Tina Payne Bryson, co-author of NYT best-seller No Drama Discipline, gave the book whole-hearted applause. “I don’t think I’ve ever read a parenting manuscript that I’ve agreed with and appreciated so much… I love the book.”
So what does Dr. Vanessa have to say about these endorsements from such venerated sources? “It just gave me so much validation and confirmation in terms of this whole project… I am still dancing around my house!”
